Will You ARISE & Help Me?

Dear Valued Subscriber,

Is autumn your favorite season?

In this part of the world (Windsor, Canada, due south of Detroit), we have enjoyed a GREAT start to the fall season. September was a simply fantastic month weather-wise with sunny, warm days throughout and October has been no different so far. The trees have been reluctant to let go of their brilliant green but shades of fiery red and orange are now peeking through to my delight.

As you hopefully know, the sole purpose of ARISE is to inform and empower. Sometimes, a product you will have to pay for forms part of my mission. Often, at a deep discount. Other times, it will come at no cost. You will see both in this issue, and because of overlapping products, there is more linking than usual in this particular issue. Please bear with me.

I am letting you know several days in advance of the general release of our latest product. Short story on this one is that I figured if we could quit thousands of smokers as well as have hundreds (newer product) Make Every Day A Great Day by simply changing their belief systems using the proprietary processes we created, we could certainly create a product for entrepreneurs to get them Better Sales Right Now!

We fully expect Better Sales Right Now to explode right outa the gate and if you (or people you know) "sell" anything, I strongly encourage you to first, try this powerful product for yourself, and then become our ClickBank affiliate and earn 51% commissions helping others to become far more successful. Heck, become an affiliate first and make a commission on your own sale (despite what our copy states:-)

Wanna hear me speak? Click on the  following links to hear me recite my Seller's Creed over music that I wrote for my late father over a decade ago.  My former music, and now Internet partner, Larry Thompson, recites my Entrepreneur's Prayer over music he wrote. These are both bonuses for paying customers included with the aforementioned Better Sales Right Now program, and a gift especially for you.

I will keep mentioning "The Ultimate Teenager's Survival Guide" until we have reached our goal of having received enough powerful and empowering stories from teens, to help teens, in order to put our book together. Inquiries and submissions (some great stories received and being developed with the authors) are growing, so, please, if you know of a school, or a teacher, or a community group/leader  that is centered around teenagers, I strongly encourage you to visit our site, and immediately contact those persons to help spread the word. Please send those people here. Thank you!

Remember People Building People and the technical issues I had creating discount coupons? If you don't, click here to read the original offer and know, for the last time (I think:-),  I will create a one-off coupon for you to join my elite membership.  Simply email me, and I will create that deep discount coupon for you.

The writer of your ARISE Article is wise. Lee Wise, that is. Lee and I have become fast friends in this crazy Internet world and he is the Administrator of a seminary as well as an entrepreneur.  YOU would be wise to read his great article called 50 Things that Really Do Matter . Thank you Lee, for being SO wise. Ok, 'nuff  "wise" cracks!

Now, please kick back (and if you can't right now, just click on the Print This Page icon at the top, scoop the pages from your printer and take it to bed with you:-) and enjoy this issue of ARISE!

As always, my greatest wishes for your complete success,

Rick Beneteau

50 Things that Really Do Matter
(Short Shots On Living An Exceptional Life)
by Lee Wise

In my opinion, these things matter...

1. Listening enough to care and caring enough to listen.

2. Being a dreamer but not living in a dream world.

3. Saying "It doesn't matter" and meaning it.

4. Being a positive influence in any way possible, to as many as possible, for as long as I possibly can.

5. Balancing justice with mercy and fairness with common sense.

6. Being patient and patiently enduring.

7. Earning credibility instead of demanding compliance.

8. Valuing the wisdom of discernment, the danger of pleasure without restraint, and the joy of victory with integrity.

9. Being worthy of trust and trusting what's worthwhile.

10. Enjoying all things small and beautiful.

11. Words that heal.
12. Words that help.
13. And words that encourage.

14. Forgiving myself for what I've done and others for what they haven't.

15. Gaining what I desire without losing what I should gain.

16. Maintaining the passion of purpose while avoiding the pitfalls of making hasty decisions with little or no discernment.

17. Watching "You've Got Mail" one more time.

18. Enjoying life for all it holds instead of holding out for all it has yet to become.

19. Giving praise without demands and encouragement without expectations.

20. Hugs.
21. Healing wounds.
22. And helping people realize their dreams.

23. Knowing when I can, can't and shouldn't.

24. Laughter for the sake of laughter!

25. Leading while not forgetting how to follow.

26. Honoring the honorable and avoiding the painful errors of the disgraceful.

27. Knowing the power of commitment, the rewards of self-discipline and the meaning of faith in myself, God and others.

28. Smiles -- lots of them.

29. Learning as much as I can for as long as I can.

30. Standing for what's right when everything's wrong, and saying "I'm wrong" when something's not right.

31. Letting the music play.

32. Knowing I can and seeking help when I can't.

33. Just doing nothing at just the right time.

34. Filling my mind with all that is excellent, truthful, full of hope, and worthy of thinking about again.

35. Kisses that say "I love you" more than "I need you."

36. Treasuring ideas for their untapped potential.

37. Caring.
38. Giving.
39. And having fun.

40. Refusing to believe lies about myself or others regardless of the source -- including what I hear from within.

41. Trusting enough to see good in people without blindly trusting in the goodness of all people.

42. Success without self-absorption.

43. Showing I know the difference between keeping the rules and listening with understanding.

44. Winning with dignity.
45. Losing with grace.
46. And learning from both.

47. Believing in all my possibilities -- and yours too!

48. Appreciating the wisdom of maturity and the beauty of childhood.

49. Avoiding the bondage of bitterness, the deceit of wealth without character, and the vanity of pride without gratefulness.

50. Loving for all I'm worth because in the end it's worth it all.

Yours for a day filled with beautiful moments in time.

Drop Dead!

Six retired Floridians were playing poker in the Condo clubhouse when Willie loses $500 on a single hand, clutches his chest and drops dead at the table. Showing respect for
their fallen comrade, the other five complete their playing time, standing at the table. Gus looks around and asks, "Now, who is going to tell the wife?"

They draw straws and Harry picks the short one. They tell him to be discreet, be gentle, don't make a bad situation any worse.

"Gentlemen! Discreet? I'm the most discreet person you will ever meet. Discretion is my middle name, leave it to me."

Harry goes over to the Willie's apartment, knocks on the door, the wife answers, and asks what he wants. Harry declares, "Your husband just lost $500, and is afraid to come home."

She hollers, "TELL HIM TO DROP DEAD!"

Harry says, "I'll go tell him."

Imagine waking up every day knowing that you are going to experience a day filled with joy, excitement, exhilaration and fulfillment!

Poignant Ponderings

WHEN YOU JUDGE YOURSELF
by Steve Goodier

Charles Allen, in his book Victories in the Valleys of Life (Fleming H. Revell, 1981), tells the story of a man who, one wintry day, went to traffic court in Wichita, Kansas, not knowing court had been canceled because of a blizzard. A few days later he wrote this letter:

"I was scheduled to be in court February 23rd, at 12:15 p.m., concerning a traffic ticket. Well, I was there as scheduled and, to my surprise, I was the only one there. No one had called to tell me that the court would be closed, so I decided to go ahead with the hearing as scheduled, which meant that I had to be the accuser, the accused and the judge. The citation was for going 46 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone. I had the speed alert on in my car, set for 44 miles per hour; and as the accuser, I felt that I was going over 35 miles per hour, but as the accused, I know that I was not going 46 miles per hour. As judge, and being the understanding man that I am, I decided to throw it out of court this time. But it had better not happen again."

He had a rare opportunity to judge himself and took full advantage. On the other hand, we probably judge ourselves all day long. We may even react more harshly to our own mistakes and errors than we would ever react to those same shortcomings in others.

Two thousand years ago a Roman writer named Publilius Syrus observed, "How unhappy are they who cannot forgive themselves." Whether dealing with others or with ourselves, it usually helps to err on the side of grace. Do you need to be gentler with yourself?

Did You Get Your "Slice" Today?

GIVING BACK

You might already support these or similar organizations, but it's the sad truth that we can never really do enough to help people, especially children. Here is what I support and encourage you to review:

The Internet Toy Drive
Founded by Anne Marie Baugh and myself, and sponsored by Drew Bledsoe (#11, 2001 Super Bowl Champion quarterback), we are official corporate sponsors of the U.S. Marine's Toys for Tots program.

My WorldVision Children
This is the special group of children from around the world that I sponsor. WorldVision is a Christian organization that has been around for decades and almost every penny donated goes directly to these needy children and their families. Nothing beats receiving a handwritten letter, or even an email now, from "your child":-) You can even buy chickens or cows that get right to these families in dire need!

St. Jude Children's Hospital
My father was a lifelong musician and played piano in bands with Danny Thomas (founder of St. Jude and father of Marlo Thomas) among others during the depression, thirties and early World War II years. Understandably, this world famous research hospital is close to my heart:-)

Parenting with Dignity P
If you are a parent, expecting to be one in the future, or even believe you've done your parenting job, do yourself a great favor and check out this fabulous resource! Drew Bledsoe, his father and family members, my great friend Tom Heatherington and many more have established an absolutely wonderful foundation devoted to the betterment of children and families (Mac Bledsoe was interviewed on ABC's 20/20 this year).
